Email outranks just about everything except sex
OK, so this is hardly news, and not even that new for that matter, and yes we're talking about Google Trends search term comparison. But still, a cute reminder about human nature. Credit for this idea goes to the "No man is an iland" blog of email-marketing-reports.com, where they noted this in an end-of-year 2011 blog post.
We went ahead and tested out a slightly different set of contemporary popular search terms. Just about everything we tried that included Email, Sex and 2 other very popular terms. In each and every case email outranked everything except sex, including Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga.
Interestingly, when comparing news references, as opposed to search, sex and email appear to run neck in neck...
